“Going for Gold” Bar Cart Inspo~

Hey y’all today I have been feeling a serious urge to redecorate the bar in our Florida home, but since it is not my permanent residence my mom shot me down lol. Sooo, with that being said, I decided to do the next best thing and make a bar cart inspiration board for what I wish I could have done with our bar!

I wanted this to be modern and fun with a coastal flare, much like the rest of my style is. I titled this board “Going for Gold” becasue it pulls in all those fun gold tones while still being classic and chic. All of these items are under $100 with the exception of the actual cart itself which is only a little more. I would also suggest that if you are looking to revamp an outdoor space, you might consider looking for similar items but in a plastic version. The Lilly Pulitzer glasses, for example, come in very cute tumblers as well for a similar price!

Now for the fun part, let’s get shopping!

To the left is my dream bar cart for a bright and fun coastal home! This to me just begs to have some Rosé on ice and a fruity drink just waiting to be poured. Now there are definitely some things you can do to change this up if this isn’t totally your style, but I’ll get to those at the end~for now keep scrolling to see the details!

Okay I love this cart from Wayfair becasue it is so simple and chic but still fun. This cart features a gold finish as well as mirrored glass on both levels to make all of your decor sparkle! The best part, it’s currently on sale for 48% off making it only $125! If this isn’t really your style any gold bar cart that has a more sleek design would work great for this look! I would recommend not getting too busy with cart shape just becasue you want the decor to stand out while making sure it is still functional after a few drinks!

You really can’t have a bar cart without glasses, and y’all I cannot get enough of these Lilly Pulitzer stemless wine glasses. I am a huge rosé girl, well cocktail girl in general, and these glasses are gorgeous and add the perfect pop of color to this gold bar cart!

If you look in the original idea board I also used these clear and gold Lilly glasses as a fun option if you are not into the bright colors! They are both a super cute and beachy option to compliment a bar cart!

*Both of these options are available on Amazon.com

Y’all come on, how flipping cute is this pineapple ice bucket! Honestly I am obsessed (insert heart eyes here). This gold pineapple ice bucket is perfect for a bar cart becasue it isn’t massive but will still hold ice for several cocktails. It’s fun beachy aesthetic is perfect for the vibe of this bar cart and will tie in well with the rest of the beachy theme we have working! This also comes in a larger size, but the price jumps dramatically, personally I would stick to this size for a fun touch of the beach while still being practical in price!

I always find that flowers on a bar cart just give it that small touch of elegance while also bringing some height to the look. This little ceramic vase is perfect for this look becasue it’s a totally neutral color that will ground the look. It keeps in touch with the modern geometric lines of the cart, while using a classic flower such as a hydrangea will bring in a natural elegance. Honestly, this specific vase is not a necessary purchase to make this look happen, any smaller white vase would suffice, I just happen to really love the way this looks with the rest of the board, and it’s only $21!

I am all about a pop of pink and having a bar cart without a cocktail shaker is just not okay, so why not do both at once! This blush pink shaker ties is perfectly with the Lilly Pulitzer glasses and flamingo straws, and adds such a fun touch of color to this bar cart! This is a 20oz shaker for only $23! The blush pink is currently out of stock on Amazon.com, but the rose gold is in stock and will have the same effect!

Y’all, how stinking cute is this whale tale bottle opener! This is the perfect touch to your bar cart especially if you have beer drinkers coming to your party. This bottle opener is from the Lilly Pulitzer collection at Pottery Barn and is currently on clearance for $7! What a steal! If you’re dying to have this like I am, I recommend grabbing it soon!

Some More Fun!

As you may have noticed, some of the products that are in my original bar cart idea board are not linked on images, but I didn’t want to leave them out of course! The napkins and paper straws are linked below!

“Cheers Y’all” Napkins

These napkins are such a cute southern touch to a bar cart or any cocktail party really! The gold detailing on them compliments the rest of the look while also adding a fun touch. Of course, if these aren’t entirely your style you can always go with a different napkin that has the gold details for the same look! But I really do love these for any occasion and they are currently $12 for 50 napkins! They are linked here.

Tropical Paper Straws

I love paper straws, even if they aren’t always the most practical option, they always add a great touch of fun to any bar or cocktail! These tropical straws are by no means a necessity to make this bar cart come to life, but if you are going to be serving cocktail or are looking for something fun to tie together the look, I would highly recommend these! They are currently $8 for 100 straws! Linked here.

I so enjoyed writing this post for y’all and I hope it gave you some fun modern tropical inspiration! Like I have said and will always say, none of these items are necessities, I was feeling inspired and getting to put together this idea board brought me joy! With that being said, if y’all do decide to purchase some of these items and use this template to decorate your bar, please let me know how it goes by tagging me on insta @kathryn.s.platt or dropping a comment below!
