January Product Roundup
Hey, y’all! As January comes to a close and we begin to dive further into 2021 I thought it would be fun to do a roundup of products that I am loving right now. Many of you are trying to crush your new year’s resolutions or are leaning into your goals for 2021, and I think that many of these products could be helpful to you in achieving whatever your goals maybe! Some of these products will be duplicates from my Holiday Gift Guides because I truly stand by everything I put on those guides. But I do have some other fun things to share with you here. So without further ado, let’s get shopping!

My Review
Facial Roller: I received this rose quartz facial roller for Christmas and I am completely in love with it! The roller comes with two attachments: one is an actual roller and the other is a small bulb that is perfect for around your eyes. My favorite part about this facial roller is that it vibrates, which stimulates the blood cells in your face even better than a regular roller. I found the price point to be fair for the quality of the product and the fact that you’re getting two in one!
Concealer: I found a few months ago that I was starting to get some crazy redness around my eyes because my skin is pretty sensitive in that area. I stopped into Ulta Beauty and one of the employees recommended the Boi-ing by Benefit full coverage concealer in the shade 2.5. My favorite part of this concealer is that you really don’t need a lot. I use two small dots under my eyes and blend and it covers everything. This is great since it’s a little more than I would typically spend on makeup, but it will last for a long time!
Bath Robe: Y’all, this robe is to-die-for! My Nana bought this for me for Christmas and let’s just say I have basically been living in it ever since. The quality is outstanding for the price, and it truly is the softest robe I’ve ever felt. If you are looking for a cozy little gift for yourself, definitely grab this one!
SunGlasses: Okay these are 100% a splurge, but if you are looking for a very high-quality pair of sunglasses I completely recommend taking the leap. These are the style ‘Olu ‘Olu in the tortoise and tan colorway. l love the polarization on these that makes colors extremely vivid which is great for being outdoors. I also find that the slight cat-eye shape is just glamourous enough to look chic, but not too dramatic that they are no longer practical to wear on a regular basis. Even if this style isn’t your jam, I would still recommend checking out Maui Jim because their products are of such great quality!
Bye-Bye Bloat: If you are like me and always feel bloated no matter how clean you eat I would highly recommend these Bye Bye Bloat pills. These little guys work miracles for me after a heavy meal or even when I am feeling like I am carrying extra water weight. The price is a little bit higher than I have spent in the past, but I personally think this product is worth it!
Capri Blue Candle: Y’all, this candle is seriously worth the hype! I received one of these Capri Blue Candles in a white elephant gift exchange over the holidays, and let me just say, I am changed. I always thought that the price of these candles ~ around $36 ~ was a little bit higher than I would want to spend on a candle and I do still think it’s a bit pricey. But what I will say is that not only do these candles smell divine, but they last such a long time! I feel as though the burn-ability of this candle is worth spending a little more. If you’re looking for a new signature scent or just want to try something new, would highly recommend trying one of these.
Blackhead Remover Vacuum: I purchased this little vacuum a few months ago and I’ve loved it. It comes with five interchangeable heads that all provide different levels of suction as well as a heating pad on the back of the handle which feels so nice on your skin prior to treatment. I will say this blackhead remover vacuum doesn’t unclog every single pore, but it does a great job pulling out dirt and bringing imperfections to the surface that you can extract afterwords. There are certainly more expensive versions on the market, but I feel that this vacuum works wonders for the price!
Bluetooth Headphones: I know wireless headphones are all the rage right now, but I refuse to spend $200+ on small little earbuds because ya girl is going to lose them! I totally understand the hype about wireless headphones, they are way more convenient and easier to use than bulky headphones with a cord. That’s why I am loving these JLab Go Air headphones that I recently bought at Target and the best part, they are only $30! The sound quality is great and they pair so easily with all my devices, so they are completely hassle-free. If you’re like me and don’t see the point of spending hundreds on headphones, give these a try!
Facial Hair Remover: Okay this might be TMI, but let’s be honest we all get a little peach fuzz on our upper lip. This product started out as an impulse buy for me, but I am totally obsessed. This small facial razor is completely painless and removes any unwanted hair that I have on my face. It takes away the need for a lip wax which I was always afraid of because I have sensitive skin. This also allows your makeup to go on so smooth and gives you an airbrushed finish. If you struggle with unwanted peach fuzz on your face I would highly recommend this little razor, it has changed my beauty routine completely!
Waffle Knit Sweater: This one is another impulse buy turned new favorite! As many of you know I love Aerie, their clothes are of great quality and are always a reasonable price. This snuggly waffle knit sweater is no exception! The fabric is so soft and looks adorable when layered under a cute jacket or by itself with a pair of leggings for a comfy laid back look. I love how simple yet versatile this sweater is and it holds up to regular washing as well. It is meant to be a little oversized, so I would order your regular size in this or size down on if you want a more fitted look for everyday wear.
Clinique BB-Cream: I purchased this foundation by Clinique about a month ago and I have to say, for someone who typically doesn’t wear foundation, this has been a dream product! This BB-Cream comes out gray and transforms to your skin tone once applied. The only hitch is that you have to apply it with your hands because it has to get your skin pigmentation, but I still blend it with a beauty blender after and have had no problems. I also love that you really don’t need a lot of this cream to get nice coverage. Bonus, it’s only $16, which is super reasonable for a quality foundation. As I said I don’t wear foundation often, but for the times that I do use it, this will be my new go-to!
Okay, I know that was a long one but I wanted to give y’all an honest review of each of these products! These are all things that I am currently using and have loved. I hope this was helpful if you are in the market for a refresh. As always if you try out one of these products let me know by dropping a comment below or tagging me on Instagram @kathryn.s.platt.
